B-LOG #2 0.6 Seconds

How much time is 6 tenths of a second? to the average person its not enough time to clap your hands once however Rondo and Pierce aren't your average people.

A quick recap for those that didn't have the pleasure of watching, it was a tie game with 5 seconds left in the 4th quarter and the inbound pass was to Ray Allen for the buzzer beater. However D-Wade had other ideas, a quick steal by Wade led to a power flush that seemingly put the nail in the coffin for the C's. Wade's dunk put the Heat up by two with 0.6 seconds on the clock, a lifetime if your Doc Rivers. Doc used Ray as the decoy popping out from the baseline for the catch and shoot on the inbound from Pierce in front of the Heat bench. The play worked perfectly as they took the Bait on Ray and Rondo charged the net for the inbound alley-oop pass placed perfectly from Pierce, tying the game with no time left. The C's would go on to win by 6 in overtime leaving the Heat feeling lukewarm.


Needless to say I was feeling defeated as I lied on my couch thinking Ray or Paul need to do something here as 0.6 seconds is barely enough time for Ray to get a shot off, and being arguably the quickest catch and release shooters in the game that is saying a lot. When the clock had ran out I was up Fist pumping and looking for someone to high five, sadly it was 11:30pm and I was at home alone in the dark, I did almost go to the elderly Asian lady who lives above me and never sleeps, to give her a high five but i figured i would wait for the playoffs to check off that box on my bucket list.

Amped after the comeback and win, i had a realization that I have been wrestling with for a while now. The Boston Celtics are far and away the best team in the City and the Region, barring college sports which i would have to say that the Uconn woman's hoop team runs the show as they continue their dominant 52 game winning streak.

The Tics are the last team to win a major Championship in new England and for the last 3 years have been one of the top teams in the NBA, they have the most dominant star studded lineup in the league, and yet the get the least amount of love in a city which used to revolve around the Celtics. We now have a new and somewhat improved big three and tho they are on the older side of the NBA they have turned the C's around and given the Truth the support he needed to become a championship caliber team.

In closing I will say that outside of maybe the year of the Idiots they are truly the definition of team and at least seem to have a lot more of a team mentality then other teams in the city right now, making them in my opinion the biggest ticket in town with respect to KG.

B-LOG #1 Blogging 101

So today at lunch I took a crash course in blogging hence the title. My teacher was Ms. Flynn and my classmates were to busy scarfing and apparently familiar enough with the blogging world not to be bothered listening to some asshole tirelessly inquire about the "how to's" of blogging.

This being my first blog I will keep it short.

Prior to class today I thought of blogging as something Perez Hilton did and that it was purely trash, i quickly found out that I, yet again, was incorrect in my premature assumption. In reading through Ms. Flynn's blog briefly i learned that Highly educated and well put together people also blog about issues other then the latest Hollywood sex tapes or rehab stints.

I will be trying to use this to my advantage and putting things up here that I either learn about and find interesting or just want to go off on a tangent about. I hope that it can bring some insight and/or enjoyment to anyone who finds it.
